Sportsman Easily Defeated Diamond

Sportsman Cricket Club easily defeated Diamond Cricket Club in the first-round match of the SFSCL 2017 T20 Championship played at Wellman Field. Batting first Sportsman led by their most experienced pair Arkhan Ally (43) and Sultan Khan (44) posted 166/5 in the allotted 20 overs. They were well supported by opener Irshad Abdool (30). The score was also boosted by a healthy 30 extras.

Diamond in reply was unable to put any meaning partnership together as the continue to loose wicket at regular interval. There was a brief period of hope when Peter Persaud (45a) and Chris Persaud (18) was at the crease, however , as soon as that partnership was broken Diamond batting collapsed. The were eventually bowled out for 126 in 17 overs.
